N-101Data security — Managed IT

Managed IT

Your machines patched, monitored, and supported — before they break.

Most businesses discover an IT problem the way they discover a leak: from the damage. Managed IT inverts that. Every machine reports in, patches land on a schedule, and someone is watching the alerts — so the failing drive gets replaced during working hours rather than at the worst possible moment.

AWhat the install covers

  • Remote monitoring and management on every server, desktop, and laptop
  • Operating system and third-party patching on a defined schedule
  • Helpdesk for your staff, with a real escalation path
  • Onboarding and offboarding, so a leaver's access ends the same day
  • Asset inventory and documentation kept current
  • Vendor management — we deal with the ISP so you do not have to

O&MAfter handover

What we keep doing once it works.

Included in a management agreement. Without one, this is the part that quietly stops happening the day the installer drives away.

How managed service works →
  • 24/7 monitoring and alerting on endpoints and servers
  • Patch compliance reporting you can hand to an insurer
  • Quarterly review of what is ageing and what needs budgeting for

QCommon questions

Managed IT, asked and answered.

What is a managed service provider, and how is it different from calling someone when things break?
Break-fix means you pay per incident and you find the problem first. Managed means the machines report in, patching happens on a schedule, and we see the failing drive before you do. The cost is predictable, and most of the work happens before anything stops working.
What platform do you use to manage our systems?
Kaseya. Monitoring, patching, backup, documentation, user security, and the service desk are one integrated system rather than six separate tools, which removes the gaps between them where things normally get missed.
Do you replace our internal IT person?
Usually not. More often we take the repetitive load — patching, monitoring, backup checks, onboarding — so an internal person can work on things specific to your business. For smaller offices with no internal IT, we are the IT department.
How quickly do you respond?
Response targets are written into the agreement and set per site, because a warehouse and a trading floor do not need the same commitment and should not pay the same for one.
Can you manage IT if another company installed everything?
Yes, and it is common. The engagement starts with documenting what is actually there, which routinely differs from the paperwork. You get that documentation whether or not you continue with us.

Every job starts with someone walking the building.

A site survey costs you nothing and produces a real drawing — device counts, cable paths, and a fixed number. Not a brochure.
